About the event
For our first edition, we’re proud to announce that we are taking the boat to the Queen’s Yard Summer Party in Hackney Wick for a daytime gathering with the first local line up: Timoti, A-Bril, Oliiver, VSVN and Wyndham.
We’re keenly aware that clubbing is in a weird place at the moment- it’s getting more and more difficult to fill dance floors unless you’re booking a big headliner, and as a result there’s a lot of amazing underground talent in London who are not getting their flowers. This is where Common Ground comes in. We want these monthly nights to perform as a cultural incubator, giving up-and-coming DJs in the platform they deserve and helping the scene forge stronger connections as a whole.
At a time when going out is becoming a greater financial commitment we have decided to keep this series of events free of charge.
